Ezekiel Zekiya Mudimu is a development practitioner with over 15 years’ experience working with young people, girls’ rights and vulnerable communities. He is a former Executive Harare Branch Secretary of the YMCA Zimbabwe and Editor and Founder of A Closer Look Magazine.
Ezekiel also serves on the National Manpower Advisory Council’s Social and Community Development Sector. He is a certified ILO Start & Improve Your Business and Know Your Business Trainer. In addition, Ezekiel Mudimu has received various awards for his contributions towards sustainable community development and humanitarian interventions.
Dr. Adrian Karangura a medical doctor. Since 2006, Adrian provided steadfast guidance to our organization. He is also a dynamic leader committed to cultivating innovation and empowerment in underprivileged communities.
Adrian is also involved in providing advice on health-related projects and also free medical consultations and treatment targeting vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
Sifelani Dzingi is the current Vice Chairperson of Simuka Africa Youth Association. The former President for the National Association of Social Workers Zimbabwe, she is a qualified social worker who believes that empowering girls and women has positive ripple effects.
At Simuka, Sifelani works with child protection and gender (her main field of interest for over 8 years), by formulating and reviewing child and youth safeguarding policies.
Willard Karangura is a holder of Bachelor in Accounting (Africa University) and ACCA. He is responsible for overseeing the management of financial and material resources of the organization. He helped to develop financial policy and cost effective strategy to empower young people and vulnerable commitment. Willard is a principled leader who values transparency, credibility and accountability. He is also passionate about empowering girls and young women from marginalized background.
Maxim Murungweni is a seasoned Child Rights practitioner with over 10 years’ experience. He has conducted various research & produced a number of position papers, publications and newspaper articles on various child rights issues.
Maxim has also presented child rights reports at international platforms such as the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child & the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child. Currently he is with Zimbabwe National Council for the Welfare of Children as the Programmes Manager.
Magdelene, D.D. (M.) is a career journalist with a specialization in international nonprofit publicity for causes in developing nations. She has previously worked with organizations serving populations in Nepal, Tibet, India, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, South Africa, the U.K. & the U.S.
As our United Nations Volunteer Supervisor, she manages all UNV Online recruits, online operations & serves as The 34 Gallery Curator. In addition, she is an abstract artist with an international client base spanning 7 countries.
Andrea Romaoli is a lawyer, Brand Ambassador & Professor of Tax Law. As a UN Ambassador, her diplomatic activities range governmental policy to Governance of Internet & the Global Economy. In 2019, Andrea was awarded an honor prize by the Government of Netherlands, Corporate Parity-UN and Ernst & Young for her legal and humanitarian theory on Niche Market Disruption Excellence.
Dr. Jeya Sushimitha has honorably served as UNV Online Personnel Health Writer with Simuka Africa for a full year. As a Medical Doctor, Global Health Advocate, Crisis Responder, & Researcher, her mission is to heal, empower, and inspire because every life matters. Her motto: "Together, we create impact—one life at a time."
Kristel Lyn Saldivar is a passionate advocate for empowerment hailing from the Philippines. She is also UNV Online Personnel serving as our Simuka Africa Graphics Coordinator.
Beyond her UNV contributions, Kristel is a volunteer member of various organizations and ministries with missions aimed at making a substantial impact on the lives of people, communities, and the world.
Houda Ben Zerroune is a human rights advocate focused on Youth's empowerment and gender equality. Equipped with a background in education, she aims to amplify the voices of marginalized communities through writing. Houda currently serves as a Simuka Africa Education Writer & UNV Online Personnel.
Njalely Tanyi Tanyi holds a MSc (Hons) in Food Security and Development alongside a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology, with a focus on a microbiology, immunology, and environmental microbiology. Njalely is also UNV Online Personnel serving as a Simuka Africa Environmental Writer.
Adamu Ibrahim has a strong foundation in Electrical Engineering. As a dedicated
Global Disability Inclusion Advocate, he has training from the United Nations, Cisco, Google, African Drone and Data Academy, US Institute of Peace, United
Nations University & the Federal Aviation Administration.
has a Silicon Valley tech background, which enables him to follow a passion for using technology for social good. Adithya currently works at Intel, where giving back and being an asset to the community is a strong company value. He is also an A.I. artist with The 34 Gallery.
Ogadimma Mbadiwe is a Simuka Africa Videographer & Contributor. His writing and videography talent has been driven by life experiences alongside a passion for global peace and progress, which makes him a powerful advocate for global SDG Initiatives.
Chantal Onyango is a writer whose interests lie in anthropology, female empowerment, sustainability, and the intersectionality of those topics, particularly within the world of literature. She hopes to illuminate the often overlooked intricacies of Zimbabwe's beautiful culture through her work as a Simuka Africa Cultural Writer.
Ojediran Oluwatimilehin is a career engineer . Dedicated to socioeconomic advancements through technology and engineering, he is also a writer dedicated to global sustainability initiatives serving the greater good.
Halima Tahirkheli is based in Ottawa, Canada and has an academic background in Public Health and Environmental Studies. She has collaborated with UNICEF, UNESCO and UN Women. Halima is a contributor to our cause, helping us efficiently communicate our work, message and increase our reach.
Christopher Manning was born in Lusaka, Zambia. He has a strong personal connection to Zimbabwe, having married and had two of his children while living here. As a retired investment banker, Chris often extended his expertise to increase youth empowerment in Africa.
Chris advocated for the vision of Simuka Africa Youth Association and the Zimbabwean community at large for many years. He facilitated corporate partnerships like the All The Sky Foundation, who is currently the major funder for Simuka Africa projects and activities. He also personally funded vocational skills training initiatives for the unemployed youth and vulnerable children.
We shall miss him a lot. May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
